Be Outside is operated by ASHER LABS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17085554. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company. We will give our registered office address on request, at legal@be-outside.app.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We ask for your date of birth during setup and check it.

Sign-in is handled by our identity provider, Clerk. Keep your credentials secure — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

Give us accurate information. If an account impersonates someone else or uses false details, we may suspend it.

You keep ownership of the itineraries, trip names, notes, packing lists and cost entries you write. You grant us the licence we need to run the product — storing that content and showing it to the people you invited.

If you mark a trip public, you are choosing to publish its plan and kit list: anyone with the link can read them and the trip can appear in Explore. Costs and the crew list stay private either way. You can make a trip private again at any time.

Do not post content that is unlawful, misleading about safety conditions, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

When you invite someone by email, you are asking us to contact a person who has not signed up. Only invite people who would expect to hear from you. We send the invitation and at most one reminder, and every message carries a one-click way for them to stop hearing from us entirely.

Be Outside is a planning tool, not a guiding service. We do not verify trail conditions, weather, permits, opening hours, or the competence of trip organisers. Activity details come from third-party sources and may be out of date. Assess your own fitness and the conditions before you set out, and follow local regulations and access rules.

Be Outside is free to use. Plus is an optional subscription at £5.99 a month or £49 a year, including VAT where it applies. It adds unlimited AI-assisted trips, plus each day ordered by real driving distance with travel times between stops.

Payment is taken by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the same price until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change, and you can cancel rather than accept it.

Cancelling.You can cancel at any time from Billing, which opens Stripe’s customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal — Plus keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund part of a period.

Your 14-day right to cancel. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital service. Plus starts working the moment you subscribe, and by subscribing you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose that right once we have. If something has gone wrong, email us anyway — we would rather sort it out than stand on this.

Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by anything in this section.

Cost figures in a trip are estimates typed by organisers or drawn from third-party sources, shown to help a group split things fairly. We do not process payments between members, hold anyone’s money, or become party to it. Accommodation prices shown through our partners are indicative until you book with that provider directly.

The product relies on other services — Clerk for sign-in, Stripe for payment, Google and OpenStreetMap-derived sources for places and routes, and calendar apps you export to. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. See the privacy policy for what each one receives.

Maps, place search and many activity listings use data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Some of it reaches us through OpenTripMap, Geoapify and Photon, and each place credits its source where it’s shown.

We aim to keep Be Outside running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you are paying for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger zone. Deletion removes your identity, profile, trips, invitations and notifications; if you have unsubscribed from email, we keep that address on a suppression list so deleting an account cannot quietly restart mail to it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including injury or loss occurring on a trip you planned with it.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
